"Pocket Rocket"
My Miata is named Pocket Rocket. It is White '97 5-speed with Racing Stripes. I have had a lot of fun running it in several Auto Cross events. In addition to Miatas I have restored Chevrolet Corvairs. The latest was sold to president of Corvair Club. I was looking for a Miata when I found this one on a Lot in West Ashley several months ago. I have recently added a cold air intake, Spark plugs, plug wires & bumped up the timing. Other then normal maintenance that is all I have had to do to the car.
I am a native of the area and grew up in Moncks Corner. I'm a WW2 Vet and in my past life I was an tech rep for GM back in the fifties and sixties (a Graduate of the General Motors Institute of technology). I am also a Commercial Pilot (no longer active) and licensed Aircraft Mechanic. I do help some pilot friends with maintenance of their Planes.
